TRF DiWALI 2009 Gala Ball 2009

@ The Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London

Last year’s Diwali gala event was a fashion show led by our youth members, the show contained a Rajasthani element turning the show into a fusion between fashion and poetry. The illustrious poet Kanhaiyalal Sethiaa and his works suited our theme for a fashion show, with his 'Dharti Dhora Ri' (an anthem for Rajasthan) presented a resonating backdrop for the show. The main event was a professionally choreographed catwalk-style spectacular interspersed with dance routines. We managed to raise alot of money for the charity and would like to thank everyone that paricipated and came to the event.

Our young and women members performed at the British Museum as part of the "Garden and Cosmos Indian Summer Exhibition". Photographs will be added to the web site soon.

2.30pm- 2.55pm   Ghoomar Dance in the Hotung Gallery (33)
3.15pm- 3.30pm   Terah Taali Dance in the Great Court
